Vihaya Events lets a club, student chapter or association collect its membership fee online. The organiser sets the fee and how long it lasts, for example ₹500 for 4 years or ₹100 for a year, and shares one join link. Members pay by UPI, card or netbanking and get a confirmed end date. Renewing is paying again on the same link. When the club runs an event, a members-only ticket checks the email of every booking against the paid, unexpired memberships on the plans the organiser picked.

## How it works

1. **Create a plan.** Name it, set the fee and pick how long it lasts: 6 months, 1 to 4 years, or any number of months. Or choose UPI AutoPay to charge every month, quarter or year.
2. **Share the join link.** Every plan gets its own link. Copy it or send it on WhatsApp in one tap. Members do not need a Vihaya account to join.
3. **Members pay once.** They enter their name and email and pay by UPI, card or netbanking. They see the date their membership runs until, straight away.
4. **Run members-only events.** Turn on Members Only for a ticket type and pick which plans count. Every booking is checked against the email it is made with.

## Features

- **Your fee, your validity.** One payment valid for the time you set, from 1 month to 10 years. ₹500 for a 4-year course, ₹100 for one academic year, whatever your club charges.
- **Or UPI AutoPay.** For monthly or yearly dues, members approve UPI AutoPay once and are charged every period until they or you stop it.
- **Renewals on the same link.** In the last 30 days, or after it ends, a member pays again on the same link. Renewing early keeps the days they had left.
- **Expiry is automatic.** On the end date the membership stops counting. No spreadsheet to update and nobody to chase.
- **Members-only tickets.** A free or cheaper ticket only your members can book. Pick which plans unlock it, so an ISTE plan does not unlock an IEDC-only ticket.
- **Only paid members count.** Organisers cannot type a member in. A member exists because the payment went through, so a members-only check means something.
- **Member list and CSV.** See who joined, when they paid and until when they are valid. Download it as a CSV for your committee or your college.
- **Money in your payout balance.** Membership money is added to the same balance as your ticket sales and withdrawn the same way.
- **Check members from your own site.** The API lists your members and answers whether an email is a member right now, for clubs that run their own website.

## FAQ

### How do I collect a club membership fee online?

Create a membership plan on Vihaya Events with your fee and how long it lasts, then share its join link. Members pay by UPI, card or netbanking and are added to your member list with an end date. The money goes to your payout balance.

### Can the membership last 4 years, like a college course?

Yes. A one-time membership can last anything from 1 to 120 months. Pick 4 years for a full course, 1 year for an academic year, or type any number of months.

### How do members renew?

They open the same join link and pay again. Renewing is allowed in the last 30 days or after the membership has ended. Renewing early adds the new term on top of the end date, so no days are lost.

### What happens when a membership expires?

From the end date it shows as Expired in your member list and no longer unlocks members-only tickets. Nothing has to be switched off by hand.

### How does a members-only ticket check who is a member?

When someone books a members-only ticket, Vihaya Events looks for a paid, unexpired membership with the email they book with, on the plans you picked for that ticket. If there is none, the booking is refused. The check runs on the server, so it cannot be skipped from the browser.

### Can I add existing members by hand?

No. Organisers cannot add members manually, so every member on your list has paid through the platform. If you are moving an existing paid member list across, contact Vihaya support.

### Can I charge monthly instead of once?

Yes. Choose UPI AutoPay when you create the plan. Members approve a mandate once and are charged every week, month, quarter or year until they or you stop it.

### Do members need a Vihaya account?

No. They open the join link, enter their name and email, and pay. They use the same email later to book members-only tickets.

### What does it cost?

### Can our own website check if someone is a member?

Yes. The Vihaya Events API lists your members and, given an email, says whether that person is a member in good standing right now.
